Skupstinagrada ZrenjaninaHunters, supported by the City, take care of game animals in hunting area ''Begej''
Thank to the Association of hunters in Zrenjanin, and supported by the City of Zrenjanin, at the hunting area covering 125.26 ha, game animals has been struggling to survive the severe winter conditions. On Tuesday, 21 February, the Deputy Mayor of Zrenjanin City Goran Kaurić and the Manager of hunting area "Begej" Zrenjanin Milena Romaneli joined in food supplying for these animals.
The hunting area "Begej" includes 23 hunting societies, and the conditions are very severe this winter and some animals do not reach the feeding spots. But, according to the estimation the activity was useful delivering extra food to animals thanks to the support of the local government for petrol and salt purchase.
This winter about 24,000 kg of grain food was planned for animals and about 20,000 kg of forage food, as well as about 5,000 kg of salt. According to Milena Romaneli, up to now more than 25,000 kg of grain food and 22,000 kg of forage food and about 6,000 kg of salt has been used.
Kaurić explained that the local government decided to support this activity providing 230,000 dinars for all the purchase o f food and petrol for the hunting association in all the villages of Zrenjanin City.
