Skupstinagrada ZrenjaninaReception for family members of veterans fallen in conflicts 1990 -1999
Today a reception for the members of the fallen soldiers of the armed 1990 -1999 conflicts has been organised in the City Hall. Deputy Mayor Goran Kaurić and Dragoljub Cvejić, Chief of the Department of children welfare affairs and veteran-disability protection talked to the families after a minute silence in the honour of the fallen veterans.
Speaking about the support the local government has been trying to provide for these families Kaurić highlighted that it included financial sources, i.e. a lump sum of 6,500 dinars for 115 families in the City. In these times of crises that may be not sufficient but , as he explained, will be useful for these families.
Jovica Pilipović, the Chairman of the Association of War Veterans and Disabled pointed out that the local self-government has been supporting these families for years.
The family members stated that their major problem referred to unemployment, poor financial situation and housing.
