Today the Mayor of Zrenjanin, dr Mileta Mihajlov, has visited the Primary School "Đura Jakšić" in Zrenjanin, where the reconstruction works on heating have been finished.
The Mayor says that the funds for reconstruction were provided by the City of Zrenjanin, in total about 8.3 million dinars in the reconstruction of boiler rooms. This was the last primary school with no modern gas heating system – said Mihajlov.
The reconstruction costs are 2,206,826 for the heating and 760,310 dinars for sanitary facilities, in total 8,249,454 dinars.
The principal of the School, Vesna Mađarov, says this is important since the boilers were rather old, out of date and inefficient, so that even the inspection ordered safety measures to be undertaken. Now children will have more qualitative conditions for their education.
