Minister of culture and information in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Bratislav Petković, was an honoured guest at the first night performance of comedy “A Sevant of Two Masters“ by Carl Goldony, at the beginning of a new theatre season and the theatre day of the National theatre in Zrenjanin “Toša Jovanović“.
The Minister of culture was received at the City Hall by the Mayor of Zrenjanin, Ivan V. Bošnjak, M.Sci.. and the member of the City Council for culture, Dubravka Bengin Bulovan.
- "Tonight Zrenjanin is the most important city in Serbia and I am honoured to be present the opening of the new season in Zrenjanin which has a long tradition in theatre art" – said Petković, promising financial support for the next year.
"The new National strategy of cultural development, and priority will be the protection of cultural heritage and development of contemporary art work" – said the Minister.
