Skupstinagrada ZrenjaninaMeeting of local ombudsmen in Zrenjanin
As initiated by the ombudswoman of Zrenjanin the first working meeting of local ombudsmen of the Republic of Serbia was held today in the City Council Hall appealing to the municipalities and cities which still do not have ombudsmen to establish them in order to upgrade the civil rights and freedom.
The ombudsmen of 17 cities and municipalities were present at the meeting to discuss the needs of local ombudsmen and the amendments of Local Ombudsmen Law.
The guests were welcomed by the Mayor dr Mileta Mihajlov who expressed his support to this meeting and hope that this is the beginning of regular meetings of local ombudsmen. He also stated that the City of Zrenjanin has a good cooperation with the Office of Ombudsman in Zrenjanin.
Dragana Radlovački Grozdanov, Zrenjanin ombudswoman highlighted that this meeting proved be necessary and useful to exchange the experiences and discuss the common needs and problems which they have been facing in practice.
