Skupstinagrada ZrenjaninaState Secretary of Ministry of Defence in Zrenjanin
Yesterday the Mayor of Zrenjanin, dr Mileta Mihajlov received the State secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Igor Jovičić with his associates. Also present at the meeting there were the Head of the Central Banat District, Tanja Dulović, as well as the Head of the Department of Defence and emergency situations, Milenko Cukućan.
The topic of today's talks was the situation in planning of defence preparations and the cooperation of the local government with the MO headquarters..
This was, as Jovičić stated, a regular visit to the Central Banat and Titel Municipality emphasising that the cooperation was very good.
The future purpose of the currently abandoned military facilities in the city was discussed too and a qualitative solution beneficial to both of the parties should be found soon.
The Mayor reminded that the City of Zrenjanin signed a contract with the military authorities regarding the change of the ownership property in the industrial zone and at the airport, whish are owned by the Army, for residential area. But so far this contract has not been realized.
