Care for disabled children and young people
Today, the Mayor of Zrenjanin, dr Mileta Mihajlov and the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Rasim Ljajić have visited the Day Care Center for Disabled Children and Young Persons "Alternativa".
The Minister Ljajić emphasised the importance of the institutions of this kind since even 35 percentage have no contact with their parents and 16 percentage of parents visit their children very rarely.
- The objective of the opening of these centers is to support and help the biological families of disabled children, therefore we highly support the building and developing of this kind of institutions. This support includes not only professional and education support but also financial funds to the local governments. On the other hand we also have been developing the parentship and we have achieved significant results in that field, said Ljajić.
