Skupstinagrada ZrenjaninaReception for women junior handball national team of Serbia
The President of the Zrenjanin Assembly, Aleksandar Marton and the member of the City Council in charge of sport, Vojilsav Matić M.Sci., gave a reception today in the City Garden for women junior handball national team of Serbia and their coaches, before the World competition in the Czech Republic, from 1 to 14 July. The players of our national team are finishing their trainings in Zrenjanin before this important competition which is to be held in Brno and Ostrava.
The national team of Serbia, junior category, won the first place in their qualification group, before Croatia. At 2011 European championship they were the fourth and now at this World Championship they will have matches with Denmark, Hungary, China, Uruguay and Spain.
Both the players and their coach, Zoran Valdevit, are satisfied with the preparation trainings they had done and are very optimistic regarding the competition.
The President of the City Assembly, Aleksandar Marton, emphasised that Zrenjanin has very good conditions and facilities for sport trainings and expressed his hopes that the team will achieve good scores at the World Championship.
