Heating System Reconstruction Reduces Losses

Deputy Mayor Saša Santovac and the Director of the City Heating Plant, Aleksandar Starčević, have visited the main heating line reconstruction site today.The reconstruction of the main  heating line is  implemented  through KfW IV programme.
 

It is  800 m section from the Street Narodne omladine up to the Street Vojvode Petra Bojovića, and the contractor is consortium "Strabag"A.G. from Austria and "Logstor" S.R.L from Romanian with subcontractors.

 

 

The Deputy Mayor Santovac reminded that the City of Zrenjanin jointly  with  the City Heating Plant entered KfW programme  in 2012 including the complete reconstruction of the main heating pipeline.
- I have to say that the total value of the works , including the plant, is seven million Euros. The fact is that we want to provide high-quality heating and the reconstruciton will reduce network losses providing cheaper heating, which is the base of all these works - said Santovac.

 

 

He added that Zrenjanin City will reduce the heating price if the gas price is kept at the present level, so that citizens can get cheaper heating than last year.

 

 

Speaking about the reconstruction, Aleksandar Starčević also pointed out that it was the continuation of KfW programme and that works in that street   should be finished by 20 July.
- After that Bagljaš sections going to be reconstructed and then we will have  a  such more efficient system and referring to this a new regulation is expected from the Government defining the heating price list  for cities. The regulation will clarify all ambiguities  - said  Starčević, adding that all the works  will have be finished by the beginning of the heating season.

 

 

 

Also Starčević  confirmed the possibility of heating price reduction, of even 15%, if the  current  fuel prices are  kept and asked  citizens to be patient since such works are done once in 30-40-year period.
