Zrenjanin at 4th Fair of local governments

Today the Woman Minister of  Regional Development and Local Government Verica Kalanović opened 11. International Entrepreneurship Fair "Business Base 2012" and 4th Fair of local governments. She pointed out the importance of this kind of connecting of entrepreneurs and local governments adding that that the Fair is an opportunity for creating a favourable business surrounding and improve the standard of living as well as overcoming of regional differences in Serbia in the field of economy.

 

   

- At the Fair the municipalities and cities of Serbia can promote their natural and human resources and all they can offer all they can for further local economic development. The Ministry of Regional Development and Local Government and the City of Belgrade have  established the connection of local governments,  central government and economy for the first time. So the moto of this Fair is "Connect". The practice proved that the most successful companies are those which in local governments found true partners for further development – pointed out Kalanović adding that the aim of the Fair should not be only the competition for the best stall and promotion material but to make local governments more efficient both for  citizens and investors.

 

   

Woman Minister Kalanović visited the stand of the Regional Agency for Development "Banat", which  presented the City of Zrenjanin and the Municipalities of Vršac, Kovin, Žitište, Plandište and Nova Crnja. She was hosted by the Mayor of Zrenjanin, Ivan Bošnjak, M.Sc and Director of RAD "Banat" Irena Živković, who presented the investment opportunities of the region. 
 

    

 

The Mayor of Zrenjanin, Ivan Bošnjak, said that it was another promotion activity undertaken jointly  with RAD "Banat" in order to establish new contacts, both with other cities and municipalities and potential investors, other  agencies and public  sector.
- Zrenjanin is again recognized as a leading city for investments, the implementation in local communities, improved efficiency of administration and activities directed  to increase of employment rate   state government and government agencies recognize Zrenjanin as a place of good  practice, but  there is much more to be done yet – said the Mayor.
